Welcome to another month of #TwitterTales or short story tales on twitter. These posts are every Thursday and Friday for the whole month.

Here is mine for July 2018:

Something blocked the sun. Legend expected to see a cloud or a plane, but something dark and big was there instead. An alert sounded on his cell along with everyone else's in the park.

Red Alert: Danger in the sky. Get inside.

Legend pressed the website included with the alert. He had heard of an Amber, Blue, and Silver Alerts but never Red. The link pulled up a video of the president.

“The answer wither or not we are alone in space has been answered." The president glanced at the papers in front of him. “We are attempting to make contact, but no one is answering. To protect yourself remain indoors. We don’t know if the aliens are hostile or not yet.”

A warning siren filled the air. People begin screaming and ran to their cars with their kids and pets, leaving things behind in the park.

“What do we do, man?” Bruce asked.

“I don’t know. Go home,” Legend answered. Nothing like this has ever happened in real life.

“You need to leave this area immediately. The government has issues a Red Alert and we are at Severe for a Terrorist Attack,” the officer on a horse said as they stopped to talk.

“Who’s after us?” Bruce asked scared.

“Aliens.”

Legend glanced at his friend, and they ran to his car.

“This can’t be happening, man,” Bruce said once inside.

“It is. I need to check on my mom,” Legend said.

“I can’t get service. My grams will be okay, right?”

“I’ll drop you off.”

“What if she’s not at home?”

“What if she is? I have to see my mom. She’ll be worried,” Legend said, sounding upset. He wanted to help his friend, but his mom came first. Traffic was bad. He couldn’t wait. “What do you want to do?”

“I’ll stay with you," Bruce said.

Legend raced home. He prayed for his mom to be there. She was watching TV. They hugged. Loud noises shook the house.

Legend ran up the stairs to the roof. Missiles headed toward the center of town.

Here is a sneak peek of next months:

Their boat shook again. “What’s with these quakes?” Simon asked. “This is the fourth this week.”

“Why are you asking me?” Rebel asked. She wiped the sweat off her brow. The shark was secure in their net. She tagged it and let it go.

Here is mine for June 2018:

“I’m not sure about this,” Izzy said scared. She glanced up at the tall wheel of death.

“Come on, you never want to do anything fun. I’ll be with you,” her twin, Bella, said. She pouted her lips.

“Fine. If I die you can tell mom.”

The line for the Ferris wheel moved fast.

“Next,” the operator called. A lanky arm rested on the lever.

“Go,” Bella said, pushing her sister.

Izzy climbed inside the cage, and her heart pounded. The door closed, locking in place.

“Don’t lock me in here alone,” Izzy yelled. Terror filled her eyes.

“One per cage,” the operator said, already switching to the next.

“Bella!”

“Calm down, I’m right here. I’ll be behind you," Bella said.

The Ferris wheel rotated.

Izzy kept her gaze on the cage in front of her. Once her door opened again, she’d bolt. A full rotation and then the Ferris wheel came to a stop. The door on her right opened, and a guy climbed inside before the exit was closed again.

Izzy opened her mouth to say something, but she was to late. The Ferris wheel moved. She grunted and sat back in her seat.

“Are you okay? You don’t look so well,” the guy said.

“I…I hate these things.”

"Me too."

"Why are you here?"

“My so-called friend thought it would be fun to ride. My name’s Chase,” he said.

“Izzy. I’d shake your hand, but I’m too scared to move,” she said, chewing on her bottom lip.

“Don't worry. I won’t rock us. Why are you riding alone?”

“The Ferris wheel moved before my sister could join me. I hate these things.”

“Me too.”

“I didn’t even know the other side opened,” Izzy said.

Chase’s brows furrowed, and he pointed to the side she had entered. There wasn’t a door.

“That’s impossible,” Izzy said.

“We’ll be okay. My door is here. You can come with me,” Chase said.

“What if I can’t return home?”

"You can call your parents.” The Ferris Wheel started to slow down. "Everything will be okay."

Izzy left through her door after it reappeared, but Chase didn't come.

“That totally sucked,” Bella said, joining her sister.

“What were you expecting?” Izzy asked.

“This is the Wheel of Love. You’re supposed to meet your soul mate.”

Ops. I had a repeat on that one. I didn't have time to work on it all at once. I am on the next ones.

Welcome to another month of #TwitterTales or Twitter Tales. Short story tales on twitter. These posts are every Thursday and Friday for a whole month.

Here is May 2018:

“Where are we headed?” Mike asked.

“To some special beach Casey knows about,” his girl, Anna, answered. She handed him her things to shove inside the back of the SUV.

“But where?”

“You’ll find out soon enough.” Casey winked at them.

“No swimming. We need to pick our rooms,” Anna said once they arrived. They entered the cabin and put away their things. The doorbell rang.

“Drew came,” Lexi yelled. She ran to the door and opened it. A scream rippled out of her throat.

“Move,” the intruder demanded. When she didn’t respond, he pushed her out of the way.

“What do you want?” Mike asked, blocking everyone.

“To play a game.”

“No way, man. Is this some type of joke?” Mike glanced at Casey.

He shook his head.

The man held up a gun. “Come outside or I’ll kill you.”

The five friends were led to four beach chairs near the water.

“What do we do?” Beth asked scared.

“Sit.”

“But there are only four chairs.”

“Decide who dies.”

“We can’t…we won’t.”

The man pulled out his cell and Pop Goes the Weasel flowed through the speakers. “When the music ends, you sit. The last one standing, I kill. You don’t play, you die.”

“We can’t do this. He can’t kill us all if we run,” Beth whispered.

“What are you doing?” Lexi asked.

“I’m not dying,” Anna said, walking around the chairs.

Her friends joined her. They whispered what to do until the music cut off. They raced for the open chairs. Beth beat Casey to one, and he yanked her off.

“Please don’t,” Beth begged the guy. Bang. She died.

“Killing your girl is cold, man,” Mike said. The music started again, and the friends walked around the three chairs.

“Pop! Goes the weasel,” the last line played. Only Lexi was standing.

The killer pointed his gun at her and pulled the trigger. Lexi died.

“Again,” he said after removing another chair.

“Sit, Anna,” Mike said, giving up his chair. “I love you.”

Before Anna could say anything, a bullet slammed into his head.

The last notes played. Casey and Anna fought for the chair. She sat by cheating.

“Ha,” she said. The gun pointed at her. "You can't, I won."

“You can't win,” the killer said. He ripped off his mask, revealing the face of a second Casey. Bang.
